What this spread is
Work decisions have numbers, people, and legal realities that tarot cannot replace. This spread is a thinking tool: it helps you name motives, costs, and a next professional step. It is not hiring advice, financial advice, or a recruiter.
Number of cards
This layout uses 5 cards.
When to use it
Use it when you have at least one real option (apply, stay, negotiate, retrain) and you are willing to write the non-card facts first: salary range, location, health, contracts.
Card positions
The job or decision as it is, not as a brand story.
Skill, reputation, energy, constraint.
The part of the choice that is easy to skip.
What to learn or practice if you continue.
Email, meeting, portfolio piece, rest—something calendarable.
How to perform the reading
Write Option A and Option B if they exist. You can repeat the spread for each option, or use position 1 as "the decision climate." Read pentacles and swords carefully: earth and air often speak to money and terms. Then close the cards and look at the actual posting or manager.
Example interpretation
Situation: Seven of Pentacles. You: Eight of Pentacles. Cost: Ten of Wands. Development: Page of Swords. Step: Three of Pentacles. A grounded reading: you are in a review season; you already know how to practice; the cost is overload; you need better questions and information; the step is to involve other skilled people (mentor, manager, peer review). That might become a meeting request. It does not become a guaranteed offer.
Reflection questions
- What are the numbers and terms I already know?
- Which card is describing burnout rather than destiny?
- What would a professional I trust advise, cards aside?

FAQ
It can help you notice values and energy. Compare offers with facts, and consult qualified advisors for legal or financial questions.
Read them as ending or disruption themes. Do not resign on a single card. Check the actual workplace.
